AGM Athlone Education Support Centre Monday May 23rd 4.30p.m.

The Annual General Meeting of Athlone Education Support Centre will be held this year on Monday, 23rd May at 4.30p.m. in the Education Centre. Motions for the AGM and proposed alterations to the Constitution are now invited. Any member wishing to propose a motion or alteration to the Constitution shall send same in writing to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than seven days before the date of the AGM. Included with each motion/proposed alterations to the Constitution, shall be the name of the proposer and seconder.

Creative Clusters 2022-2023 Closing Date Friday May 13th

Creative Clusters is a pilot initiative of the Department of Education led by and in partnership with the 21 full-time Teacher Education Centres (Education Support Centres Ireland - ESCI) and funded through the Schools Excellence Fund – Creative Clusters Initiative. 

Creative Clusters is an important initiative of Creative Youth – A Plan to Enable the Creative Potential of Every Child and Young Person, which was published in December 2017 as part of the Creative Ireland Programme. The Creative Youth Plan aims to give every child practical access to tuition, experience and participation in art, music, drama and coding by 2022

International Girls in ICT Day Thursday April 28th 2022

The gender gap in science, technology and mathematics (STEM) is striking. In higher education, only 35 percent of all students enrolled in STEM-related fields are females. PDST Leading the Inclusion of EAL Learners in Post-Primary Schools

The PDST Post Primary EAL team invite teachers with a specific remit for EAL to a workshop that will support those leading the inclusion of EAL learners in a post-primary setting. It will provide a practical overview of how EAL learners' priority needs and language needs can be met by the school.
